With a background as an IT and e-commerce entrepreneur, he has a natural drive to create lasting solutions. His work might not always be visible at first glance—but the impact is undeniable when workflows run effortlessly, processes click into place, and everything just flows.

“I don't like it when something goes limp. It's satisfying to make processes work -- for real and over time,” said Martin.

Code that lubricates both systems and processes

Martin's everyday life is very much about further developing, adapting and finding solutions in and around standard systems. He builds plugins, configures, and develops integrations that make customers' system environment as smooth and efficient as possible.

In practice, this often means that he solves problems no one really knew existed - until everything just works. Here the parable of lubricants is close at hand. Something that is required to create a good flow.

“I tend to say that what I do is like lubricant - the thing that makes everything roll without friction,” Martin says.

Develops more than code

Prior to joining Fiwe, Martin had his own company. It's still noticeable in his way of working. With a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach and a strong drive to deliver benefits, he has helped shape more than just technical solutions.

Together with a colleague, he has developed a new way of recruiting developers — focusing on personality, code quality and how to work in groups.

“Magnus and I have developed a method for recruiting developers — where we assess both coding skills, personality and how to work in teams. It gives us a more accurate match,” Martin says.

One common goal — high quality

What makes Martin happy at Fiwe is not just the tasks — but also the people. The team consists of a good mix of competencies, where everyone strives towards the same goal. There is a clear ambition for quality and a long-term focus, both in the projects and in the relationships with customers. “Unlike many other consulting companies, we take a holistic approach and are responsible for the solution. It is precisely that long-term view that makes me happy here,” says Martin.

Heavy weights and live demo

When Martin is not developing smart solutions, he likes to go to the gym— lifting heavy weights — or code further on one of his e-commerce side projects. This autumn he will also be on stage at Fiwe Collaboration Forum, where he and his colleague Peter plan to run a live demo of an AI case.

“I want to show something that actually works — in real time. It's funniest when you see it happen, for real. I'm looking forward to that,” Martin concludes.
