What do AI-boosted chat and a studio for developing and testing AI models have in common? They are both projects that Emil has been involved in and developed during his LIA period with us at Fiwe. A LIA period that led to a permanent position as a developer here at Fiwe.
From opera tailor to developer
He is originally from Växjö but became a Gothenburg resident in 2011 and started working as a tailor at the Gothenburg Opera house. Twelve years and two parental leaves later, he decided to try something new. The programming courses he took during his last parental leave gave him more flavor and led him to the YH program Java Integration at Campus Mölndal, which he is studying today.
When it was approaching the end of the training, Emil applied to us, having had us in mind since a company visit at the beginning of his training. That's the way it is, and Emil did his LIA with us and got to work on two different projects, both connected to Fiwe's AI engine.
After the LIA period ended, we had the opportunity to continue working together, and Emil is now employed as a developer at Fiwe. The first projects have been around Contentserv, which is one of our PIM platforms that we implement with our customers.

What tool could you not do without?
– PhpStorm from Jetbrains.
What has been most rewarding in your job this week?
– The customer meetings where we gain a better understanding of the customer's needs in order to translate it into solutions have been both challenging and rewarding.
What technology do you want to test right now?
– I'm always curious to dive deeper into Kubernetes!
What is the best thing about working at Fiwe?
– Amazing and inspiring colleagues and Friday breakfasts!
